Where it all began in 2013…..The first, a mini box with 9 Halfpans (and with closed lid next)
FAQ’s
Q. Does the paintbox have click closure? A. Yes, with all boxes.
Q. Can I have a paintbox with brass pans instead of plastic pans? A. Yes, and the reverse too, both just take longer to make though.
Q. Are they easy to clean? A. Yes they are, simply rinse off the exterior and you can use a diluted, mild liquid soap on the mixing areas, rinse and blot dry. All pan trays can be removed to clean out the paintbox.
Q. Do the paintboxes come with a thumb ring. A. Thumb rings are a separate to order option. Most boxes can be held without one and it is down to individual preference.
Q. Can you explain the description terminology of the parts of the paintboxes?
“tray”. The tray is what holds the pans. There are 3 tray types, as shown. Solid glued in pans, interchanging plastic pans and the solid tray of brass pans. Every tray is removeable from the paintbox.
“Pans”. Pans are what hold the colours. Normally, all pan types are filled from tube colour.
“Wells”. Wells are the mixing areas of the paintbox. They are parts of the lid and any flaps.
“Flaps”. Flaps are the folding out mixing areas. Flaps are generally flat. The closing Lid can be flat or with domes, depending on the box design and size.
Whilst bespoke design changes are possible, this has now had to be kept to small changes due to that complexity can lead to very long waiting times, which need to be avoided.
